What to Expect

I start by asking why you'd like a Reiki session and if there are any particular areas bothering you that I should be aware of.  After scanning your body, I check your chakras/energy centers which help maintain proper energy flow throughout your body. I check to see how well they are aligned and make adjustments or re-align them as needed.  I then send both Usui and Karuna Reiki to your whole body (unless you have a preference). All of this can be done both in person or with Distance Reiki.

In Person Reiki:  (Currently unavailable)

With in-person, I usually work in the auric field a few inches above your body. If hands-on is used, I ask permission prior.

Distance/Remote Reiki:

Distance Reiki can be done several ways.  On the phone, where I describe what I'm doing while you relax or we can set a time for me to send healing to you when you're relaxing or sleeping.  Some people feel that Distance Reiki is stronger than in person because you're able to be more uninhibited and thus, more open.

What you may feel in a Reiki session:

- A shift in the atmosphere

- Waves or pulses of energy

- Warmth or chills

- A sense relief or well-being

- Peace

- Clarity or increased focus

- Nothing at all

Some people don’t feel anything during a Reiki session which is okay, because the energy can be very subtle. The Reiki is still working for your highest good. You may however notice slight energy shifts or changes in the days that follow.

Each person and each session is unique. Often the benefits last a few days, weeks, months and sometimes permanently. I cannot guarantee specific results or how long they will last.

When should I schedule an appointment?

- Anytime where you can relax for 30 - 60 minutes.  You can be at home, asleep (distant Reiki) or anywhere you can relax uninterrupted.

Per California State Law SB 577: Reiki practitioners are not licensed physicians. REIKI is a complement to 'healing arts services licensed by the State', i.e., it is a complement to more traditional western medicine provided by doctors, nurses and hospitals. As a complementary or alternative medicine, REIKI does not require licensing by the state of California.
